Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet lightly with oil or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Pour in the milk and vegetable oil, and stir until a shaggy dough begins to form.
  • Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for about one minute until smooth and elastic.
  • Form your dough into a round loaf.
  • Use a knife to score the top of the dough with a shallow crisscross pattern.

Baking

  • Place the shaped loaf on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes
