Instructions

  • Lay the thawed puff pastry on a clean surface and roll it out if needed to accommodate the Brie.
  • Place the Brie in the center of the puff pastry and generously spoon over the cooled apple filling.
  • Fold the pastry around the Brie, sealing the edges carefully to prevent leaks, and flip it seam side down.
  • Score the top of the pastry with a crisscross pattern and brush it with egg wash.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the wrapped Brie bomb on a parchment-lined baking tray for 20 to 25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow the dish to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to enjoy the molten center.

Notes

Let the filling cool completely before assembling to avoid a soggy pastry. If using frozen puff pastry, ensure it is fully thawed and pliable for easy wrapping. For healthier variations, consider reduced-fat Brie or adding nuts to the filling.
