  • 1 round rustic bread loaf (bread boule) Choose a freshly baked, crusty loaf.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice off the top quarter of the bread loaf and hollow out the center to fit the brie.
  • Make cuts around the edge of the bread for easy dipping.
  • Brush the inside of the bread with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and half of the thyme.
  • Place the brie in the bread, top with remaining thyme and cranberry sauce.
  • Cover with the top of the bread and bake for 20 minutes until melted.
  • Serve immediately with the toasted scooped-out bread.

Notes

Let the brie sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking for even melting. Consider adding nuts or swapping herbs for flavor variations.
