Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened Use low-fat cream cheese for a lighter option.
  • 1 tbsp honey For sweetness in the filling.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adds a bit of spice.

For topping and garnishing

  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted Provides a crunchy texture.
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze For drizzling over the pears.
  • 1 tbsp honey Additional sweetness.
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Brush the cut sides of the halved, cored pears with melted butter and honey, then place them in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • Roast the pears for about 20 minutes or until they are golden and tender.
  • While the pears are roasting, combine crumbled blue cheese, softened cream cheese, honey, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Toast walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  • Once the pears are ready, fill each pear with the blue cheese mixture, sprinkle with toasted walnuts, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and add a touch of honey.

Serving

  • Serve warm as an appetizer or a unique dessert, garnished with fresh rosemary.

Notes
