Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic powder.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly coated with the flour mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and honey until well combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
