Instructions

Preparation of Garlic Spread

  • Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and dried parsley in a small bowl until well combined. Spread this mixture onto the insides of your hoagie rolls.
  • Heat a skillet or preheat an oven to toast the rolls until they turn golden and crisp.

Cooking the Onions

  • Drizzle olive oil in the skillet and heat over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and sauté until soft and caramelized, approximately 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Cooking the Steak

  • In the same skillet, increase the heat to high. Add the sliced steak, cooking until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix in the caramelized onions, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Assembling the Sandwiches

  • Load the steak and onion mixture into the toasted hoagie rolls, stuffing them generously.
  • Top each sandwich with a generous amount of shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese.

Melting and Serving
