Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the jalapeños lengthwise and gently remove the seeds.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, drained crab meat, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well-combined.
  • Spoon the creamy mixture generously into each jalapeño half.
  • Lightly grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil or butter and place the stuffed jalapeños on the sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until they’re golden brown and tender.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an added kick, sprinkle some cayenne pepper into the cream cheese mixture. Topping with breadcrumbs or extra shredded cheese before baking adds a crispy texture. For healthier swaps, consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese or try a mix of low-fat cheeses.
