Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Clean the mushrooms gently and remove the stems.
  • Lightly brush each mushroom cap with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange the caps on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the lump crab meat, softened cream cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Add Old Bay seasoning if desired.
  • Spoon generous amounts of the crab mixture into each mushroom cap.
  • Sprinkle the tops with additional Parmesan cheese.

Baking

  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender, and the filling is golden and bubbly.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley just before serving.

Notes

For the freshest flavor, use lump crab meat. You can prepare the mushrooms and filling ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. Adding spices like cayenne pepper or chopped green onions can elevate the flavor.
