Preparation

  • Begin by placing your boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Open the ranch seasoning and au jus mix packets, and sprinkle over the chicken evenly.
  • Arrange the sliced butter on top of the seasoned chicken.
  • Surround the chicken with the pepperoncini peppers.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of the pepperoncini juice over the mixture.
  • Cover the crockpot and set your timer to cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
  • Once cooking is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Serve the shredded chicken over mashed potatoes, rice, or inside a sandwich roll.

Notes

For best results, do not rush the cooking process, and layer the ingredients properly in the crockpot. You can double the recipe, but ensure your crockpot is large enough.
