Ingredients

For Fresh Flowers Method

  • 2 cups water The foundation of your tea.
  • 1–2 cups fresh dandelion flowers, cleaned and trimmed Vibrant blooms that offer a floral taste.

For Dried Root or Leaves Method

  • 2 cups water Essential for steeping.
  • 1 tbsp dried dandelion root or dried leaves Adds nourishment and depth.

Optional Ingredients

  • to taste honey For sweetness.
  • to taste lemon Enhances flavor.
  • to taste mint For a refreshing twist.
  • to taste cinnamon stick For gentle spice.
  • to taste ginger slices Adds warmth and depth.
  • to taste lemon zest Brightens the flavor.

Instructions

Fresh Flowers Method

  • Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a pot.
  • Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat.
  • Add 1–2 cups of your cleaned dandelion flowers into the hot water.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and let the mixture steep for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After steeping, strain the tea into your favorite cup, and sweeten it with honey or a splash of lemon if desired.

Dried Root or Leaves Method

  • Take 1 tablespoon of dried dandelion root or leaves and place them in a small pot.
  • Pour in 2 cups of water and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  • Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once ready, strain the tea into your mug and consider adding a sweetener or a hint of lemon.

Notes

Ensure fresh dandelion flowers are collected from pesticide-free areas. Experiment with herbs like chamomile for unique flavors.
