  • 1 lb lump crab meat The star of the dish with sweet flavors.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Brings creamy richness to each bite.
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning Classic seafood seasoning.
  • 1 egg, beaten beaten egg Acts as a binder for the filling.
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish) Adds freshness and visual appeal.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and the beaten egg. Mix until well combined, taking care not to break the crab meat too much.
  • With clean hands, shape the mixture into balls, roughly the size of a golf ball, and place on a greased baking sheet, ensuring space between each.
  • Drizzle or spoon melted butter over each crab bomb.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, keeping an eye on them until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once baked, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality lump crab meat. Let the crab bombs rest for a minute after baking to firm up slightly. Feel free to customize spices according to your taste.
