Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb baby carrots tender and sweet
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter for richness
  • 2 tbsp honey nature's sweetener
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar to deepen the flavor
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon adding warmth
  • 1/2 tsp paprika for a hint of warmth
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper a mild kick
  • 1/4 tsp salt to enhance flavors
  • 1 tbsp fresh orange juice optional, for brightness
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnishing

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by placing the baby carrots in a pot with a pinch of salt and enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and let them cook for 7-10 minutes, until they are fork-tender. Once done, drain them carefully.

Making the glaze

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Allow this mixture to bubble for about a minute.

Combining ingredients

  • Toss the cooked carrots into the glaze, stirring gently until they are evenly coated. If using orange juice, add it now. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes, stirring often, until the glaze thickens.

Serving

  • Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish and sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the top. Serve warm.

Notes

Consider using a variety of carrots for colorful presentation, adding a pinch of ginger for extra kick, or substituting honey with maple syrup for a different flavor.
