Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour in cold milk and melted butter, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Drop dough in mounds onto the baking sheet with a spoon or cookie scoop.

Baking

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden.

Topping

  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
  • Brush generously over hot biscuits and serve warm.

Notes

Do not overmix the dough and chill it in the fridge for 10 minutes if possible for better flavor.
