Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing and elevating the flavors.
  • 1 pound ground beef Creates a hearty base full of protein.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds a fragrant, earthy note.
  • 1 ea onion, chopped Brings a sweet crunch.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For a burst of aromatic flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped Offers nutrients and vibrant color.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds a slight smoky richness.
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese The creamy tanginess that brings the dish together.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley For garnish.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Essential for flavor enhancement.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.
  • Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened and fragrant, ensuring not to brown the garlic.
  • Incorporate the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned, draining any excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the chopped spinach, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 3–4 minutes until the spinach has wilted and everything is well combined.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta over the beef mixture. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh herbs to elevate the flavor. Feel free to swap out ground beef for ground turkey or chicken and add additional veggies like bell peppers or zucchini. If feta isn’t preferred, goat cheese or shredded mozzarella can be substituted. Ensure the skillet is hot enough before adding the ingredients for the best sear on the beef.
