Instructions

Oven Method

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Blend until smooth.
  • Stir in the crab meat, cheddar cheese, grated onion, lemon juice, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, black pepper, and Tabasco sauce. Mix thoroughly.
  • Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish and smooth out the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Slow Cooker Method

  • Place all ingredients in a 3–4 quart slow cooker and combine well.
  • Cover and set to LOW for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • After 2 hours, stir and let cook for an additional 15–20 minutes until fully heated.
  • Keep on WARM for up to one hour, stirring gently to maintain creaminess.

Notes

For the best flavor, choose quality lump crab meat. You can adjust the heat with more Tabasco or jalapeño. This dip can be prepped ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
