Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even cooking.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté finely chopped mushrooms, onions, and minced garlic for 5–7 minutes until softened and fragrant. Allow cooling slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef with sautéed veggies, breadcrumbs, Swiss cheese, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape evenly.

Baking

  • Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60–65 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.

Serving

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley for presentation and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t skip the sauté for enhanced flavors. Use lean ground beef to reduce grease. Customize with different cheeses as desired. For spice, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños.
