Instructions

Preparation of the crust

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a 23cm (9-inch) pie dish and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Preparation of the filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until silky smooth using an electric mixer.
  • Gradually add the pure pumpkin purée, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and spices, blending until well combined.

Assembling the pie

  • Pour the pumpkin filling into the chilled graham cracker crust and smooth the top.
  • Return to the refrigerator for at least six hours to set.

Preparing the whipped cream

  • Just before serving, whip the heavy cream in a clean mixing bowl, adding powdered sugar and vanilla once it thickens.
  • Beat until soft peaks form.

Serving the pie
