Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ricotta or cottage cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, egg, thyme, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  • Layer the zucchini slices evenly in the greased baking dish.
  • Spread the cheese mixture over the zucchini and repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese.
  • If using, sprinkle seasoned breadcrumbs on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is bubbling and golden brown.
  • Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for extra crisp, watching closely.

Serving

  • Let the dish cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes
