Instructions

Prepare the Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until fully combined.
  • Firmly press this mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or tart pan. Place it in the oven to bake for approximately 8 minutes, then remove and let cool slightly.

Make the Cream Cheese Filling

  • In a mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and well-combined.
  • Pour this mixture over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.

Prepare the Pecan Topping

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup (or maple syrup). Stir until smooth and slightly bubbling.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in the egg, vanilla, and salt. Fold in the chopped pecans.

Assemble & Bake
