Ingredients

For the Churros

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika Introduces a hint of smokiness to the mix.

For the Whipped Burrata Dip

  • 1 whole burrata (about 125g) Irresistibly creamy with a soft center.
  • 50 g cream cheese Creamy and velvety, it adds to the dip’s lusciousness.
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt Tangy, for extra flavor and texture in the dip.
  • Pinch salt and pepper (for dip) Balances and enhances the flavors.

Instructions

Make the Choux Dough

  • Combine the water and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the flour all at once, stirring vigorously until a ball of dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

Add Flavor & Eggs

  • Incorporate the eggs into the dough one by one, beating until smooth and glossy. Fold in the grated Parmesan, black pepper, and salt.

Pipe & Fry

  • Heat neutral oil in a deep frying pan to about 180°C (350°F). Pipe the dough into lengths directly into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.

Dust the Churros

  • Mix finely grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Roll warm churros in this mixture for an even coating.

Make Whipped Burrata

  • Blend burrata, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until airy and smooth. Chill briefly before serving.

Serve

  • Serve the warm churros alongside the whipped burrata dip.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough for crispy churros. Don’t skip the rolling in the seasoning mixture for enhanced flavor.
