Ingredients

For the steak marinade

  • 2 lbs top sirloin steak juicy chunks of high-quality meat, ensuring maximum flavor.

  • 4-5 oz mushrooms, sliced for earthiness.

Instructions

Marinate the Steak

  • In a large bowl, combine the steak chunks with mirin, minced garlic, ginger paste, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, white pepper, and kosher salt. Toss well until all pieces are coated and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the Veggies

  • Heat a large pan over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the carrots, zucchinis, and mushrooms, stirring for 10-15 minutes until golden and tender. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste, and set aside.

Sear the Steak

  • In the same pan, increase the heat to medium-high, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter with the last tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the marinated steak, stir continuously until seared and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and toss to coat, allowing it to caramelize slightly.

Serve It Up

  • Arrange the seared steak and sautéed vegetables on a large platter. Serve alongside fried rice and a generous drizzle of Yum Yum Sauce.

Notes
