Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 cup rice Sweet and creamy, this rice forms the main base of the sushi roll.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adds a hint of sweetness to the rice.
  • 1.5 cups milk Ensures the rice is soft and creamy.
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs Provides a delightful crunch.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Adds a gooey sweetness.
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup Adds richness to the dish.
  • 1 large marshmallow (for toasting) Optional, for an additional toasted treat.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Once it's fluffy and cooked through, mix in the sugar and milk. Let it cool to room temperature.
  • Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on a clean surface. Spread the cooled rice evenly over the plastic wrap, creating a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs generously over the rice.
  • Along one edge of the rice, line up the mini marshmallows.
  • Carefully lift the edge of the plastic wrap closest to the marshmallows and begin rolling tightly. Press gently to shape the sushi roll.
  • Slice the roll into even pieces, about 1 inch thick.
  • Arrange the slices on a serving plate and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  • Optional: Toast the large marshmallow over an open flame until golden brown and serve alongside the sushi.

Notes

Chill the rice to speed up the cooling process. Experiment with variations by adding nuts or flavored syrup. Use a wet knife for cleaner cuts.
