  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl; cover it and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.

Forming the Rolls

  • Roll the risen dough out into a 12x18 inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  • Spread softened cream cheese evenly over the dough.
  • Spread strawberry preserves evenly on top.
  • Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log shape.
  • Slice the log into 12 even rolls and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Cover the dish with a towel and let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking and Frosting

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while the rolls are rising.

  • For the frosting, beat softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread cream cheese frosting over warm rolls.

  • Serve warm.

Notes

If dough is sticky, add more flour while kneading. You can prepare these rolls a day in advance by refrigerating them after the second rise.
