Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the creamy, unsalted butter until smooth and aromatic.
  • Stir the finely minced garlic into the butter, sautéing for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant and golden.

Cooking the Lobster Tails

  • Place the split lobster tails shell-side down in the pan filled with garlic butter, basting them generously.
  • Cook the lobster for approximately 5–6 minutes, until the meat is opaque, then set aside to keep warm.

Searing the Scallops

  • Increase the heat to medium-high and carefully add the scallops to the skillet.
  • Cook the scallops undisturbed for 2–3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust.

Finishing Touches

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the lobster and scallops, and sprinkle with parsley, salt, and pepper.

Serving

  • Arrange the lobster and scallops on a serving dish, garnish with lemon wedges and additional parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, mix Old Bay seasoning into the butter. Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes for heat or truffle oil for sophistication. Ensure scallops are dry before cooking to achieve a good sear.
