Ingredients

For the Stuffed Shells

  • 12 pieces jumbo pasta shells These large pasta shells are perfect vessels for stuffing.
  • 1/2 lb ground beef Juicy and savory, adds rich flavor.
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce Brings a zesty kick.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Provides a comforting topping.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Enhances all flavors.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper Adds warmth and a subtle kick.
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Adds creaminess.
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro Provides a fresh, herbaceous touch.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente, about 9–11 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and black pepper, then add taco sauce and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Carefully fill each cooked shell with the beef mixture and arrange in a baking dish with the open side facing up. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 15–20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  • Remove from oven and top with sour cream and chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

Consider adding diced bell peppers or onions while browning the beef for extra flavor. For more spice, mix in diced jalapeños or top with salsa before serving.
