Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Arrange the sliced Vidalia onions evenly in the dish.
  • Sprinkle the salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano over the onions.
  • Place the pats of butter evenly across the top of the onion layer.
  • Sprinkle the Italian blend cheese, followed by the shredded cheddar, over the onions.
  • Finally, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Baking

  • Place your assembled dish in the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
  • Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Experiment with cheeses by mixing different types like pepper jack. Consider adding other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for added nutrition. Prepare the dish a few hours in advance and just bake before serving.
