Ingredients

For the drink base

  • 1 tsp caramel sauce Used for sticking the rim toppings.

For garnishing

  • 1 optional whipped coconut cream Elevates drink presentation.
  • 1 optional crushed caramelized sugar or turbinado sugar For added sparkle and sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small plate, combine the toasted shredded coconut and brown sugar.
  • Dip the rim of your martini glass in caramel sauce to make it sticky and press it into the coconut-sugar mixture.
  • Place the glass in the refrigerator while you prepare the drink.

Blend the Base

  • In a shaker or blender, combine the chilled coconut milk, caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and ice cubes.
  • Shake vigorously or blend until smooth and frothy.

Pour & Finish

  • Remove the chilled glass from the refrigerator and pour the mixture in, filling it to the brim.
  • Top with whipped coconut cream and drizzle extra caramel sauce over it.
  • Optionally sprinkle with crushed caramelized sugar for added crunch.
  • If desired, use a kitchen torch to lightly caramelize the sugar topping until it forms a golden crust.
