Ingredients

Macaron Shell Ingredients

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Provides richness and creaminess.
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar Sweetens the filling.
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream Adds a luxurious mouthfeel.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Reinforces the delightful vanilla flavor.

Instructions

Make the Macaron Batter

  • Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy, then gradually add the granulated sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in the sifted almond flour mixture in batches.
  • Add the pink gel food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.

Pipe & Bake

  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe heart shapes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Tap the tray gently to release air bubbles and let macarons sit for 30-40 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake for 12-14 minutes.
  • Allow the macarons to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Prepare the Vanilla Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until fluffy, then gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.

Chill & Serve

  • Pipe the filling onto half of the macaron shells and sandwich with the other halves.
  • Refrigerate assembled macarons for 12-24 hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure all utensils are grease-free before whipping egg whites. Use a kitchen scale for precise measurements. Cool macarons completely before filling.
