Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a small baking sheet or ovenproof dish with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced apple and pear. If using cranberries, toss them in as well. Drizzle with melted butter, brown sugar (or honey/maple syrup), a pinch of salt, and cinnamon if desired. Gently toss to coat.
  • Center the Brie wheel in the lined baking dish. Arrange the caramel-coated fruits around and slightly atop the Brie.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the Brie softens and the fruits begin to caramelize. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped nuts if using, and drizzle with extra honey or maple syrup.

Serving
